About Farsk IV Drips

What is an IV drip treatment?

IV stands for intravenous, which means a solution is injected directly into the bloodstream.

What makes IV drip treatment better than taking a supplement?

Usually, vitamin supplements are taken orally and go through the digestive system, which may cause gastrointestinal intolerance and often are poorly absorbed. With IV drips, the body receives the vitamins and minerals by injecting the solution directly into the bloodstream; a process that bypasses the digestive system and allows clients to feel the positive effects instantly.

What can IV drip treatments do for me?

The most common benefits are: improve hydration, nourish the body through vitamins, minerals and electrolytes, strengthen the immune system, enhance energy, boost the metabolism, protect against free radicals, regenerate cells, and improve skin conditions.

Does it hurt?

A needle will be inserted in order to set up the IV, so the level of discomfort is comparable to getting a flu shot.

Can anyone do IV drip treatments?

Yes, any healthy adults 18 years and older. If you take any medications or have any allergies, make sure to inform your medical provider before starting your treatment.

What can I expect on my first visit to get an IV drip treatment?

There will be a consultation with a medical practitioner who will advise you on which treatment is the best suitable for you. Once the treatment is selected, there are some documents to sign, as you would with any other procedure. After this, you are taken to the treatment site where you can rest in a relaxed position until de the IV is ready for you. The puncture site will be sanitized, usually the cubital area, and the needle will be inserted to administer the IV solution.

Are there any side effects to IV drip treatments?

Even though our IV drip treatments are clinically tested and stability tested and its ingredients are premium and safe, everyone is unique and you could experience the effects of the treatment differently, and we are not able to foresee if your body particularly will have a different reaction.

Are there any possible complications to IV drip treatments?

  1. Pain or discomfort when puncturing the skin to administer the IV
  2. Failure to successfully place the IV catheter in the vein
  3. Need to switch to a different entrance site if the original attempt punctures the wall of the vein
  4. Bruising of the puncture area, which should dissipate on its ownBlood clot in the superficial vein, which should dissolve on its own
  5. Infiltration of fluids from the IV solution through the wall of the vein into the surrounding area, which should be reabsorbed on its own
  6. Inflammation of the vein used for injection, phlebitis, metabolic disturbances, and injury
  7. Allergic reactions to any of the ingredients in the IV solution, including anaphylaxis, cardiac arrest, and death
  8. Infection of the puncture area

What does the aftercare for IV drip treatments look like?

  1. Leave the bandage on for at least 15 minutes. After this time, most people will have stopped the small bleeding that happens after removing the needle; however, if you are still experiencing some light bleeding, replace the cotton pad with a new one and hold in place by applying gentle pressure.
  2. Keep the area clean and dry for at least one (1) hour post treatment.
  3. Avoid intense activity or any stress to the puncture site for 24 hours after the treatment.

How are Farsk Health IV drip solutions made?

Our exclusive process to make our IV solutions is novel in the market and safer than any other IV treatments available, and more convenient for both health care practitioners and patients alike.

What IV drip treatments does Farsk Health offer?

For now, IV Immune, IV Energy and IV Boost, but we are working on expanding our line!

What makes Farsk Health’s IV drip treatment unique?

Our IV drip treatments are pre-compounded and ready-to-use. The novelty of being pre-mixed makes them safer than other IVs on the market, for both the administering practitioners and patients.

How is Farsk Health’s IV drip treatment safer than other IVs on the market?

  1. The bags pre-mixed in a sterile compounding facility in Laminar Air Flow Hoods, within a sterile buffer room, compounded by trained and qualified pharmaceutical professionals. This ensures the IV bag remains sterile and virtually eliminates the risk of contamination that could occur when mixing on site.
  2. They are prepared using only commercially sterile, Health Canada approved, GMP ingredients from leading pharmaceutical companies.
  3. Because we pre-load the precise amount of each component in each IV bag, we have optimized the health benefits but also minimize the risk for inadvertent errors, such as mixing wrong ingredients or the wrong dosage, which can be harmful and even lethal.
  4. The formulation has been assessed for stability to ensure the solution contains at least 90% (the scientific threshold) of the amount of the ingredients on the label. Stability testing also ensures a long-shelf life and guarantees these items remain intact at the time of the treatment.
  5. Each IV bag is packaged in an extremely high-quality, medical-grade plastic that does not contain PVC/DEHP, a known cause of health concerns identified as plasticizer.
  6. Our IV solutions are formulated to be isotonic: the same concentration of solutes (substances) as blood in order to minimize vein and red blood cell damage.
  7. Electrolyte concentrations and bag volumes are carefully chosen in order to reduce adverse effects such as fluid retention or increased urination. Specifically, sodium and chloride are minimized where possible to help reduce fluid retention post-treatment.
  8. Formulations are designed to provide the critical elements such as electrolytes, vitamins, minerals and substances which are key building blocks to good health in the various key treatment areas. We utilize the scientific literature using primary references from high-quality, peer reviewed journals as the basis for choosing the items in our formulations.
  9. Nursing time is spent on taking care of the patient as opposed to compounding the solution, which allows for better monitoring and patient assessment.

Why doesn’t Farsk Health offer an IV Drip treatment with Glutathione?

IV drips that have glutathione have a high possibility of adverse effects and other health risks, so we don’t consider the ingredient up to our safety standards for this treatment. As of now, the type of raw materials available in the market for this ingredient are not suitable for intravenous treatments. However, it is perfectly safe to be used in supplements through a special formulation.
